Fatal Collision Between Bus and Van in Habarana Claims Two Lives

COLOMBO (News 1st) -

The number of people injured in a fatal road accident in Habarana has risen to 35.

The police say that the victims have been admitted to the Habarana and Dambulla hospitals.

The accident occurred when a bus traveling from Galle to Trincomalee collided with a van that was coming from Kinniya, this afternoon.

Two people lost their lives in the accident.

The police say that the bus driver has been taken into custody in connection with the accident.
