COLOMBO (News 1st); The Anamaduwa Base Hospital has undergone significant renovations and upgrades to better serve the community.
Today, the hospital's blood dialysis unit was refurbished and reopened to the public, alongside the construction of a new building for a medical-grade reverse osmosis water filtration system and the provision of essential medical equipment.
This project by Gammadda, aims to enhance the hospital's capacity to save lives in the Puttalam District.
The Anamaduwa Base Hospital is a critical healthcare facility, treating approximately 450 patients daily from Anamaduwa and surrounding areas.
Despite its importance, the hospital has faced numerous challenges, including limited space for blood dialysis treatments, which are vital for many patients suffering from kidney diseases in the region.
Recognizing this pressing need, the Gammadda team swiftly acted to renovate the blood dialysis unit and lay the foundation stone for the new building required for the reverse osmosis water filtration system on June 19, 2024.
The project was officially inaugurated for public use this morning, with the participation of Gammadda leader Chevaan and other distinguished guests.
Most importantly, the project was financially supported by Next Manufacturing Private Limited.
Gammadda has also ensured that the hospital received essential medical equipment as part of this initiative.
