COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Supreme Court has concluded the hearing of petitions seeking the re-conduct of the Grade Five Scholarship Examination held on September 15. The judgment is scheduled for December 31st.
The hearings took place over three days before a three-member bench consisting of Justices Yasantha Kodagoda, Kumudini Wickremasinghe, and Arjuna Obeysekere.
The petitions, filed by parents and candidates who took part in the examination, requested the Supreme Court to issue an interim injunction to the Commissioner General of Examinations for the cancellation of the questionable first paper and to re-conduct the exam for the first paper.
