COLOMBO (News 1st); The Foreign Employment Bureau says that the E8 visa agreements received from various parties are to be handed over to the Attorney General today, to confirm their validity.
The Additional General Manager of the Bureau Gamini Senarath Yapa says that the E8 visa is a short-term system that allows people to go to South Korea for jobs in the agriculture and fisheries sector for a period of up to 8 months.
Meanwhile, a group of people who got short-term job opportunities in South Korea but did not get the opportunity to go there, are continuing their protest today as well.
The Satyagraha campaign called the E8 Visa Ekamuthuwa - is being staged opposite the Foreign Employment Bureau for the third day today.
107 individuals have lost the opportunity to go to South Korea due to the non-registration at the Foreign Employment Bureau.
