Defense Ministry to Audit Civilian Firearms

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Defense has started to conduct audits on firearms issued to civilians.

A specialized team has been tasked by the Ministry of Defense to conduct audits.

Following the completion of these audits, the Ministry confirmed that appropriate measures will be taken to return the firearms to their rightful owners.

The Ministry stated that it is reviewing appeals from individuals requesting to surrender their firearms, with approximately 50 cases being processed each day.
