COLOMBO (News 1st): The time period granted for students to register to state universities based on their results of the 2023 GCE A/L Examination has concluded.
The University Grants Commission says that approximately 40,000 students had registered within the given time period.
The Commission added that, accordingly, registration documents have been forwarded to all medical faculties and the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Peradeniya, to take onward action to enroll students.
Over 43,000 students have applied to pursue higher education in state universities this year.
The University Grants Commission says that steps will be taken promptly to fill the vacant seats created by students who did not register themselves with the Commission.
