December 6 Set as the Deadline to Submit Election Expense Reports

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Election Commission has announced that candidates who contested the general election must submit their income and expenditure reports by December 6.

All Political parties and independent groups are required to submit these reports to the District Returning Officer. 

Party secretaries must submit income and expenditure reports for political parties, while group leaders are responsible for submitting them on behalf of independent groups.

All candidates in the General Election candidate list are mandated to comply with this requirement, as failure to do so constitutes a violation of the Regulation of Election Expenditure Act.
