Ten Foreign Nationals Arrested in Online Fraud Bust

COLOMBO (News 1st) – Ten foreign nationals have been arrested at a hotel in Iranawila on suspicion of involvement in an online financial fraud scheme.

According to police reports, the suspects include four Malaysian nationals, four Ethiopian nationals (including one woman), one Kenyan woman, and one Chinese national.

During the operation, authorities seized 20 computers, three routers, and 282 mobile phones from the suspects.

The individuals were taken into custody last night and are scheduled to be presented in court.
