Shani Abeysekara Reinstated on Contract Basis

COLOMBO (News 1st); Retired Senior Police Superintendent Shani Abeysekara has been reinstated in the police service on a contract basis, with the approval of the National Police Commission.

Police Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General Nihal Thalduwa, announced that Abeysekara will serve for a period of one year.

Previously, Shani Abeysekara served as the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). 

He is known for leading investigations into several high-profile criminal cases in the country.
