2 murders reported from Gampaha and Ambalanthota

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Two murders have been reported from two separate locations. 

Police say that an 81-year-old woman had been tied up inside a house and murdered, in Brandiyamulla, Gampaha. 

Police suspect that the murder was committed by an individual or group that aimed to break into the house. 

Meanwhile, another murder was reported from Bellagaswewa in Ambalanthota. 

Police say that the deceased is a 34-year-old resident of Beragama. 

They also add that the individual had been reported missing from the day before yesterday. 

Police say that the body was found when residents of the area were searching for him.
