COLOMBO (News 1st); Pradeep Saputhanthri has been appointed as the Secretary to the Prime Minister.

Mahinda Siriwardena will oversee Finance, Economic Development, Policy Implementation, Planning, and Tourism, as Secretary to the Ministry.

Aruni Wijewardena has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Pradeep Yasaratne will handle Justice, Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils, Local Government, and Labour, as Secretary to the Ministry.

M.D.J. Fernando was appointed as the Cabinet Secretary.

K.D.S. Ruwanchandra is the Secretary to the Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation.

Thilaka Jayasundara is the Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.

K. Mahesan was appointed at the Secretary to the Ministry of Women's, Children's, and Youth Affairs, and Sports.

M.M. Naimudeen is the new Secretary to the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security, Cooperative Development, Industries, and Entrepreneurship.

M.B. Athapattu was appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Rural and Urban Development, Housing, and Construction.

Palitha Mahipala is the new Health Secretary.

Prabath Chandrakeerth is the Secretary to the Ministry of Environment, Wildlife, Forest Resources, Water Supply, Plantations, and Community Infrastructure.

N.M. Wickramasinghe is the Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Livestock, Irrigation, Fisheries, and Aquatic Resources.


Ranjith Ariyaratne is the new Secretary to the Ministry of Buddhist Affairs, Religious and Cultural Affairs, National Integration, Social Security, and Media.

Professor Udayanga Hemapala is the Secretary to the Ministry of Energy.

Yesterday, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake was appointed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake as the new Secretary to the President.

In accordance with Sub-Article 52 (1) of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake appointed retired Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Ravi Seneviratne as the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security.

Sampath Thuyacontha, a retired Air Vice Marshal of the Sri Lanka Air Force was appointed as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Defence.
