Special Security Measures for Presidential Election

COLOMBO (News 1st); In preparation for the upcoming presidential election, a comprehensive security arrangement has been established across the island. 

Police Spokesperson DIG & Attorney-at-Law Nihal Talduwa, announced that approximately 63,000 police officers have been assigned to election duties to ensure a smooth and secure voting process.

In addition to the police force, the Ministry of Defense has confirmed the deployment of personnel from the three armed forces at key security locations. 

The Ministry emphasized that the armed forces are prepared to deploy additional personnel as necessary to maintain order and safety.

The Ministry of Defense assured the public that all essential security measures have been implemented to facilitate an independent and free election.
