Rs. 17.2Bn Supplementary Estimate for Electricity Relief Today

COLOMBO (News1st);A supplementary estimate of Rs. 17,213 million is scheduled to be presented to Parliament today to provide relief to the public regarding electricity bills.

The supplementary estimate is expected to be approved in Parliament tomorrow.

These decisions were made yesterday during the Committee on Parliamentary Business meeting, chaired by the Deputy Speaker.

Accordingly, the second reading debate on the Export Agriculture Promotion (Amendment) Bill, which was scheduled to be debated today, will not be held.

Meanwhile, a decision has been taken to not present the Institute of Chartered Media Practitioners of Sri Lanka Bill to Parliament, which was scheduled for its second reading debate tomorrow.
