Ballot Papers Stored Under Police Protection for Upcoming Election

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Election Commission has announced that all official ballot papers for the upcoming presidential election have been successfully forwarded to the respective districts. 

These ballot papers are currently stored under stringent police protection in the vaults of the district secretariats, ensuring their security until the election.

The Commission confirmed that the ballot papers will be issued to the District Electoral Officers on the 20th of this month, in preparation for the election.

Additionally, the Election Commission has completed the appointment process for all positions related to the election, including senior polling station officers.

These officers will be responsible for overseeing the polling stations during the presidential election, ensuring a smooth and orderly voting process.
