Bear Attack: Five Hospitalized in Kimbulawala

COLOMBO (News 1st); Five individuals from Diya-Beduma in Kimbulawala have been hospitalized following a bear attack. 

The victims were initially taken to Diyabeduma Regional Hospital before being transferred to the Polonnaruwa General Hospital for further treatment.

The bear, which has been a cause for concern in the region, had previously been spotted in Moragaswawa and Sigiriya areas, alarming local residents. 

In response to the recent attacks and public safety concerns, wildlife authorities made the decision to euthanize the bear. Plans are underway to transport the bear to another location later today.
