4 Murders Over Past 24 hours

COLOMBO (News 1st) - 4 murders have been reported from Weeraketiya, Pothupitiya, Rathgama and Galnewa areas. 

Police say that one person was killed as a result of a dispute between two groups, during a musical show in Morayaya. 

The deceased is a 30-year-old resident of Wekandawala. 

One person has been arrested in connection to the incident. 

Police say that 5 others were injured during the conflict. 

Meanwhile, a person has been beaten to death in Pinnagodella in Rambuka, Pothupitiya. 

The deceased is 45 years old. 

It is believed that the murder was committed as a result of a personal dispute.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder. 

The person who was murdered in Ranapanadeniya in Rathgama, is 60 years old. 

He was a businessman. 

No suspects have been identified yet. 

Meanwhile, a dead body was found on a byroad in Kalankuttiya in Galnewa. 

The deceased is a 42-year-old resident of the same area. 

It has been revealed that the murder was a result of a family dispute.
