Sri Lanka President Stands Firm on 5-Year Term Limit

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe firmly believes that the President's term is 5 years, said the President's Media Division on Thursday (4).

The President had said that he supports the Election Commission's decision to hold the Presidential Election in 2024.

In addition, President Ranil Wickremesinghe had stated that Chamindra Dayan Lenawa did not consult him or his lawyers before filing the determination application regarding the President's term in office with the Supreme Court.
