Sri Lanka to launch Indigenous Medicine Villages

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka has launched a program to create "Indigenous Medicine Villages" throughout the country.

State Minister for Indigenous Medicine, Sisira Jayakody said the initiative will address the shortage and high costs of imported medicine.

State Minister further highlighted that nearly Rs. 2 billion has been allocated to import indigenous medicine.
