COLOMBO (News 1st); In an innovative move to raise awareness about safety, Sri Lanka Police have adopted a unique strategy: using comic book characters to draw parallels with everyday people.
By leveraging popular fictional figures, Sri Lanka Police has taken to social media to convey important safety messages in a relatable and engaging manner.
"You're Not a Deadpool"
The irreverent anti-hero Deadpool, known for his regenerative abilities and quick wit, has become an unexpected safety advocate.
In a recent Facebook post, the Sri Lanka Police shared an image with Deadpool alongside the caption: "You are not a Deadpool, so you cannot heal your body. Remember this before you ride a motorcycle without a helmet."
The message is clear: ordinary humans don't possess superhuman healing powers, so protective gear is essential for everyone's safety.
"You're Not Megamind"
Megamind, the brilliant yet misunderstood supervillain-turned-hero, serves as another cautionary example.
The Sri Lanka Police used his image to address the growing threat of online scams.
Their message: "You are not a Megamind, so think before you click, and beware of phishing scams." By associating the character with the need for vigilance in cyberspace, they encourage responsible online behavior.
