Train services on the Upcountry Line continue to face disruptions due to fallen trees caused by heavy rains and strong winds.
Railway Traffic Superintendent, M.J. Idipolage said that a fallen tree near Kadugannawa blocked the Podi Manike train traveling from Colombo to Badulla.
Similarly, the Udarata Manike train journeying from Badulla to Colombo encountered a stoppage due to a fallen tree in the Idalgashinna area.
As a precautionary measure, authorities have extended the cancellation of the two Colombo-Badulla night mail train services for another day.
