COLOMBO (News1st); Commissioner General of Registration of Persons Pradeep Saputhanthri said the offices of the Department for Registration of Persons will remain open tomorrow (May 4) for candidates sitting for the GCE Ordinary Level Examination to obtain National Identity Cards (NICs).
He said some applicants sitting for the O/Level exam haven't obtained their NICs thus far, while some candidates have yet to apply for the NIC.
Accordingly, the offices in the Colombo, Galle, Kurunegala, Nuwara Eliya, Vavuniya, and Batticaloa districts will remain open tomorrow (May 4).
The Department of Examinations said admission cards for school and private candidates sitting for the O/Level exam have been sent via post.
The GCE O/Level exam will commence on the 6th of May and will continue till the 15th of May.
