CTSU to launch trade union action against salary disparities

Colomo (News 1st); The Ceylon Teachers Service Union says a decision has been made to launch trade union action against the existing salary disparities.

Its secretary Dhammika Mirihana, says Deans and teachers of National Education Academies, Government Teacher Colleges and Teaching Centres will engage in a token strike in this regard.

He also says no allowances are granted to them apart from their salaries adding that they have been treated unfairly due to this.
