SJB to forge new alliance with Freedom People's Congress

COLOMBO (News1st); The Samagi Jana Bala Alliance will be unveiled on Friday (05).

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya is due to sign agreements with several parties at the BMICH.

SJB Spokesperson MP S. M. Marikkar said the alliance is not only targeted at the upcoming elections but also a result of an agreement that was discussed for several months, especially on policy issues.

The SJB Spokesperson said it is not merely for contesting an election but also critical of how a new government will take forward the country's activities.

He added that several government and opposition MPs will also join the alliance in the future.

Six MPs from the Freedom People's Congress are scheduled to join the new alliance on Friday (05).

They are Professor G. L. Peiris, Dr. Nalaka Godahewa, Dilan Perera, K. P. S. Kumarasiri, Wasantha Yapabandara and Dr. Upul Galappaththi.
