Postal Vote Counting Begins

COLOMBO (News 1st): Postal vote counting of the General Election 2024 has officially begun.

According to the district returning officers the counting of postal votes began at 4.15 pm.

The transportation of ballot boxes to counting centers have also begun. 

The voting process of the 2024 parliamentary election, to elect representatives to the 10th Parliament of Sri Lanka, officially concluded at 4pm the voting, commenced 7am today.

The voting process was carried out at 13,421 polling centres across Sri Lanka.

According to the National Election Commission the first result is expected to be announced before midnight today.
