Venezuelan who illegally smuggled cocaine arrested at the BIA

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The BIA Customs Narcotics Bureau arrested a Venezuelan national who arrived in Sri Lanka with Cocaine hidden in his body.

Customs Spokesperson Seevali Arukgoda says that the 41-year-old Venezuelan national arrived in the country from Brazil via Dubai this morning.

He says that while scanning his body, the Cocaine was observed to be hidden.

The customs spokesperson said that 12 drug capsules weighing 132 grams have been found.
