Keheliya to be produced before court on Saturday (03)

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, who was arrested on Friday (02), is scheduled to appear before the court on Saturday (03).

The former minister of health was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department on Friday (02) night, when he came to give a statement regarding the controversial human immunoglobulin scandal.

Maligakanda Magistrate Ms. Lochani Abeywickrama ordered Keheliya Rambukwella to come to the Criminal Investigation Department and give a statement in this regard.

A foreign travel ban was also imposed on the minister.

The Director of the Criminal Investigation Department said that the Minister arrived at the Criminal Investigation Department at around 11:00 am on Friday (02) and was arrested after a long interrogation.

Keheliya Rambukwella currently serves as the Minister of Environment.
