COLOMBO (News 1st); In a special gazette notice, the Election Commission announced the appointment of Jagath Priyankara as the new Member of Parliament for Puttalam District.
This appointment fills the vacancy left by the untimely demise of former State Minister Sanath Nishantha in a car accident on the Katunayake expressway last week.
