RRDI highlights issues of burning straw

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Rice Research and Development Institute (RRDI) has highlighted the issue of farmers burning straw in many areas. 

Director of the Institute Dr. Jayantha Senanayake, says that when recommending chemical or organic fertilizers for cultivated land, calculations are made based on the nutrients obtained from straw.
