Looking at forging closer relationship with India - Sabry

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry has said that Sri Lanka is looking at forging a closer relationship with India.

Highlighting that India is one of the fastest growing largest economies, he told India's ANI that the two countries are trying for electricity, renewable energy, tourism, and port shipping connectivity.

He said, "India is growing and that growth path is very important. Together with that, the region must grow."

He added that India can proudly claim a great part of the credit that Sri Lanka has achieved today.
