Did patient die after using private pharmacy drugs?

Authorities have initiated an investigation into a tragic incident where a woman passed away after consuming medicine obtained from a private pharmacy situated in Ingiriya. 

According to Sri Lanka police, the deceased was a 62-year-old woman residing in the Urugala, Ingiriya. It was reported that she had a history of medical conditions, including diabetes, cholesterol, and kidney diseases, for which she relied on medication.

The woman had acquired the medicine from a private pharmacy between July 31st and the 10th of August. 

It was reported that her health took a turn for the worse after consuming this medication, leading to complications following which she was hospitalised at the Ingiriya Hospital.

Despite medical efforts, the victims condition continued to deteriorate, and she was subsequently transferred to the Horana Base Hospital where she died yesterday.
