BIA to use one scanner to minimize congestion

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan authorities have decided to only use one of the two scanning machines deployed in the general passenger terminal at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

Ports, Shipping and Aviation Secretary Ruwan Chandra told News 1st that this measure was taken to minimize passenger congestion, and the decision does not undermine the security at the BIA in any manner.
