Control price on eggs lifted from Tuesday (25)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The control price on eggs will be lifted with effect from midnight on Tuesday (25).
The Consumer Affairs Authority told News 1st that Cabinet approval was granted to lift the control price on eggs.
A control price of Rs. 44/- was imposed for White Eggs, and a control price of Rs. 46/- was imposed for Brown Eggs.
The Consumer Affairs Authority said that permission was granted to release imported eggs to the local market, and it would pave the way for a competitive price to be determined in the local market.
