Minor tremor recorded in Sellakataragama

COLOMBO (News 1st); A minor tremor was experienced in the eastern region of Sellakataragama on Monday (15) night, reported the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau.

GSMB Acting Director Ajith Prema said the tremor measured a magnitude 2.5, and it had taken place at approximately 10:24 PM.

He added that the tremor was recorded across all seismic meters in the country.

However, he said that only a small group of people had experienced the tremor.
