93rd Battle of the Maroons ends in a draw

Colombo (News 1st) - The 93rd Battle of the Maroons between Ananda College and Nalanda Colleges ended in a draw on Sunday (5).

Nalanda College declared their first innings on 280/5 after being put into bat on Saturday.

At stumps in day 1, Ananda College were 65/1 in their first innings.

Ananda were eventually bowled out for 235 in 87.4 overs on day 2.

Nalanda declared their 2nd innings on 121/5 while Ananda mustered 22/2 in their 2nd innings at the close of play, ending the 2 day game in a draw.
