Constitutional Council to meet on Friday (24)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Constitutional Council is scheduled to meet on Friday (24), chaired by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana.

The Speaker said the appointment of new members to independent commissions will be discussed at the meeting.

New members are set to be appointed to 10 independent commissions.

1,600 applications have been received in this regard.

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana said the applications have been evaluated.
