8 million imported eggs sent to Sathosa outlets

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka State Trading (General) Corporation said another 8 million imported eggs have been sent to Sathosa outlets.

Chairman Asiri Walisundara said the Department of Animal Production and Health approved the relevant stock of eggs.

Walisundara said accordingly, the eggs will be available to customers through Sathosa outlets from Thursday (28).

He added that due to the high demand during the festive season, many stores have run out of eggs, and 1 million eggs are being imported daily.
