Appeals related to 2022/2023 academic year to be accepted until 30th December

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The University Grants Commission says that appeals related to the 2022/2023 academic year will be accepted until the 30th of December.

The commission said that the registration of students for university admission will commence within the next two weeks.

The University Grants Commission also stated that relevant instructions will be provided through an SMS message to the phone number provided by the students.

Meanwhile, the University Grants Commission says that next month, students will be admitted for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Its chairman Professor Sampath Amaratunga said that 42,145 students will be admitted in the initial round.

The professor also said that the highest number of students, that is 11,780 will be admitted for Arts stream-related degrees this year.

Cut-off marks for admission to universities according to results of the 2022 GCE Advanced level examination, were released on Friday (01).
