Sri Lanka Labels Electricity and Petroleum as Essential Services

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka has elevated the status of electricity and petroleum services to the category of essential services, effective Monday, December 18th.

An extraordinary gazette issued by order of the President notes that all services connected to the supply of electricity, and the supply or distribution of petroleum products and fuel, have been declared essential services.
