Section of the Southern Expressway which was temporarily closed will be reopened

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The section between Dodangoda and Galanigama on the Southern Expressway heading towards Colombo, which was temporarily closed due to a road accident, was reopened after the lorry that met with an accident was removed this morning.

The road was completely closed from last night due to a lorry loaded with sawdust from Matara towards Kottawa toppling over.

Due to this, all traffic coming from Matara towards Colombo left from the Dodangoda Interchange, came through Matugama- Kalutara Road, re-entered the expressway at the Galanigama Interchange, and headed towards Colombo.
