PHIs on strike for second day

COLOMBO (News 1st); The token strike launched by the Public Health Inspector's Union of Sri Lanka is ongoing for the second day on Tuesday (31).

Secretary S. Bopitiya said the token strike was launched based on several demands including increasing the transport allowance.

He said the Ministry of Health and related authorities have failed to intervene to resolve the prevailing issues.

However, essential services are being provided, despite the trade union action.
