COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lankans will have the opportunity to witness a partial lunar eclipse on Saturday (28).
Professor Chandana Jayaratne of the Physics Department of the University of Colombo stated that the partial lunar eclipse will be visible from 11.32 p.m. tonight to 3.56 a.m. tomorrow.
He stated that the eclipse will last a total duration of 4 hours and 25 minutes.
He added that, unlike solar eclipses, it is safe for people to view this partial lunar eclipse with the naked eye.
