New frog-biting mosquito species in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Medical Research Institute has identified a new species of frog-biting mosquitoes in Sri Lanka.
Entomology Officer Gayan Sri Kumarasinghe says the mosquitoes were mostly found in Mirigama and Handurumulla.
Accordingly, the number of mosquito species identified in Sri Lanka will increase to 156.
