COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Livestock and Rural Community Development has announced that the government is actively involved in cultivating grass as a viable crop. As part of this initiative, the government will provide a stipend of 20,000 rupees to participating growers.
Additionally, the ministry highlighted that farmers involved in maize cultivation will also receive 20,000 rupees per acre, with the project currently underway at the rural level.
