Croatia beats Morocco 2-1; takes third place

Colombo (News 1st) - Croatia beat Morocco 2-1 in a hard fought FIFA World Cup third place playoff match at the Khalifa International Stadium in Al Rayyan.

Croatia's Josko Gvardiol opened the scoring in the 7th minute, before Achraf Dari for Morocco equalised in the 9th. Mislav Orsic took Crotia into the lead in 42nd minute of the game.

The exhilarating game sets the tone for a mouth watering World Cup Final clash between defending Champions France and Argentina on Sunday (18) night.
