Morocco shock Portugal 1-0 to become first African nation ever in FIFA World Cup semis

Colombo (News 1st) - The FIFA World Cup produced yet another shocker as Morocco became the first African nation ever to enter the semifinals, hanging on grimly to a one-goal lead for more than half of the match and sending heavily favoured Portugal crashing out 1-0.

Youssef En-Nesyri banged in a header a few minutes before halftime as Portuguese goalkeeper Diogo Costa misjudged a high pass fired into the box.

Portugal threw everything they had into attack in the second half and there were many heart-stopping moments for the African nation before fulltime was blown.
