SLBFE Announces Government-Only Recruitment for Israel Jobs from January 2027

COLOMBO (News1st) : Starting from 1 January employment for Sri Lankans in Israel will be strictly governed ,on a government-to-government (G2G) basis under bilateral agreements.

This announcement was made by the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE).

Consequently, the current recruitment scheme operating through private licensed foreign employment agencies which previously covered Israel's construction, industrial, commercial, and service sectors will officially terminate on December 31. 

The SLBFE noted that official details regarding the new recruitment framework, quota limits, and selection criteria for 2027 have not yet been released. 

Moreover, the Bureau cautioned those seeking employment in Israel against being deceived by private agencies.

The SLBFE and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism advise the public to rely exclusively on official government notices for future updates.
