Scammer Using UL Brand Arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st): A suspect has been arrested for committing financial fraud via WhatsApp using the name of SriLankan Airlines.
This arrest followed an investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) based on a complaint received.
In the possession of the suspect, officers discovered 5 applications used for the financial fraud, 40 bank accounts, and 15 ATM cards.
The 29-year-old suspect is a resident of Kompanyaveediya.
Investigations have revealed that the racket was operated from a foreign country.
