Vijitha Herath Meets Iranian Foreign Minister In New York

COLOMBO (News1st);Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath has met with Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Seyed Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st UN General Assembly session in New York. 

During their bilateral discussions, both diplomats reviewed current regional and international developments. 

Foreign Minister Herath reaffirmed Sri Lanka’s position on global conflict resolution, calling for immediate de-escalation and the peaceful settlement of disputes through active dialogue and diplomacy. 

He further urged all parties to maintain ongoing negotiations to restore regional stability and ease tensions at the earliest opportunity.
