Navy Seizes Drug Consignment and Suspected Vessel in Jaffna

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka Navy arrested a suspect with a consignment of drugs during a special operation conducted in the coastal area of Kusumanthurai in Madagal, Jaffna.

The Navy seized a vessel suspected of being used in an attempt to smuggle the drugs as well.

Further investigations into the seized drugs are currently underway.

The consignment is scheduled to be handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for investigations.
