Grenade Attack On Kohuwala Residence: House Allegedly Linked To 'Kudu Avishka'

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A grenade attack has been carried out targeting a house on Wimalasiri Mawatha in Kohuwala.

The attack caused damage to property at the house.

Police Spokesman ASP F. U. Wootler said the attack is suspected to a be result of a dispute between two factions of organized criminals. 

He stated the attack is also suspected to have targeted associates of an organized criminal known as ‘Kudu Avishka.’

The attack was carried out by two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle. 

Their identities have not yet been revealed.

Two police teams have been deployed to investigate the incident.
